Asticou Island LLC ("Asticou," "we," "us") is a software company in McLean, Virginia. This policy explains how we handle personal information on www.asticouisland.com. Our products have their own terms and privacy notices when they are offered.
Information you give us. When you join our list or request a governance read-out, we collect what you enter in the form, such as your email address and, if the form asks for them, your name and organization. When you email us, we receive your email address and your message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit, our hosting provider receives technical information that any website receives: your IP address, your browser type, the pages you request, and the time of each request. We use it to deliver the site and keep it secure.
The readiness assessment. The governance readiness assessment runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us. We see only what you choose to send us.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on this site.
We use personal information to send the updates, early-access notices, and read-outs you ask for; to reply to your messages; to operate and secure the site; and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own advertising.
Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site.
MailerLite runs our signup forms and our email list. Its form script may use cookies or similar browser storage to operate the forms and prevent abuse.
Google provides our email service and the web fonts this site loads. Loading the fonts sends your IP address and browser information to Google.
Each provider handles information under its own terms and privacy policy, and may process it in the United States or other countries. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business.
We keep list subscriptions until you unsubscribe or we stop sending updates. We keep messages as long as we need them to answer you and to keep ordinary business records. Hosting logs are kept under our hosting provider's standard practices.
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, by writing to hello@asticouisland.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections to this site. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure.
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
